Description: | Strategic sharing is a strategy in which peers and paraprofessionals share their personal experience in order to relate to a person they are working with, aid in their recovery, and/or help them advocate for themselves. This technique is often utilized by peer support specialists, including youth and family partners in the Wraparound process. This training covers what strategic sharing is, why it is effective, how it is often misunderstood, and how it can be appropriately used by both peers and other professionals. |
