As Wraparound providers it is a part of our job to stand up against oppressive practices and attitudes. This training will focus on specific skills and strategies to address oppressive actions witnessed by or against families, co-workers, community members, and others. This covers addressing problematic conversations in trainings, meetings, one-on-one conversations, etc. This includes specific examples such as individuals not using strengths-based language, not following group agreements, and more. NOTE: Advanced trainings refer to the trainings’ content advancing beyond what is learned in the foundational training, not to it being for individuals with advanced knowledge or experience on the topic. |
