Advanced Training: Cultural and Linguistic Responsiveness – Working with LGBTQIA+ Youth

Wraparound serves youth of all backgrounds and cultures including youth who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. This training will discuss cultural information related to LGBTQ+ youth. We will also address common challenges youth within this community may face both within Wraparound and in their communities; this includes interrupting harmful language, maintaining a growth mindset, and supporting youth in the ways that they identify. NOTE: Advanced trainings refer to the trainings’ content advancing beyond what is learned in the foundational training, not to it being for individuals with advanced knowledge or experience on the topic. |
