During this advanced training we will examine the definitions and perceptions of disability, ableism and their intersection with race. We will discuss ableism and how it may present in different settings (such as educational, health care etc.). We also will discuss how perceptions of disabilities impact the BIPOC community and how it all connects with Wraparound. NOTE: Advanced trainings refer to the trainings’ content advancing beyond what is learned in the foundational training, not to it being for individuals with advanced knowledge or experience on the topic. |
